POVA has officially launched its newest smartphone, the POVA 8 Pro 5G, in India. The device moves away from conventional smartphone aesthetics. It introduces an eye-catching rear design with a triangular camera module and a secondary display panel.

This new smartphone targets power users seeking highly distinctive designs and robust native productivity tools. The launch signals a major shift for the brand in the premium mid-range segment. Sales will commence across India on August 21, 2026.

The POVA 8 Pro 5G comes in three distinct colour variants. These are Tundra Green, Arc White, and Graphite Black. The base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs Rs 49,999. Meanwhile, the top-tier version with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at Rs 54,999.

Indian buyers can buy the smartphone through Flipkart and various offline retail networks across the country. During the introductory launch, buyers can get Rs 3,000 instant cashback using major bank cards. This reduces the starting cost to Rs 46,999.

Additionally, the brand provides flexible finance terms to make purchasing easier for consumers. No-cost EMI payment schemes are available for up to 18 months. Monthly instalments under these consumer finance deals start at Rs 2,777.

Interactive Alive Matrix Display and AI Attributes

One of the most notable hardware elements is the rear Alive Matrix Display. This dot-matrix screen displays battery levels, active timers, incoming alerts, and spam-filtered caller IDs. It can also serve as an elegant desk clock when placed face down.

For heavy business communication workflows, the device includes a built-in AI communication assistant. This regional-first productivity tool allows users to record, translate, and summarize cellular calls.
