Pova 8 Pro Now Available for Purchase in India Through Flipkart: Check Price, Specifications, Offers

The Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G is now available for purchase in India, shortly after making its debut in the country. The latest addition to the Pova 8 lineup brings a gaming-focused hardware package, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, a large battery and the company’s distinctive Alive Matrix Display on the rear. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset and runs Android 16-based HiOS 16.

Pova 8 Pro 5G Price in India and Offers

The Pova 8 Pro 5G starts at Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher-end 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model is priced at Rs. 54,999. The Pova 8 Pro 5G is available for purchase on Flipkart and at retail outlets nationwide. The handset is available in Tundra Green, Arc White, and Graphite Black shades.

As part of the launch offers, buyers can get Rs. 3,000 instant cashback on eligible card and UPI transactions. This brings the effective price of the base variant down to Rs. 46,999. No-cost EMI options are also available for up to 18 months, with monthly instalments starting at Rs. 2,777.

Pova 8 Pro 5G Specifications

It features a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with a 1,208 x 2,644-pixel resolution, up to a 144Hz refresh rate, 429ppi pixel density and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The phone also carries an IP69K rating for protection against dust and water.

Under the hood, the Pova 8 Pro 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, paired with a Tecno P1 graphics chip and ARM Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. A vapour chamber cooling system with a 5,000 sq mm heat dissipation area is included for thermal management.

For photography, the smartphone gets a 50-megapixel primary rear camera alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Selfies and video calls are handled by a 13-megapixel front camera. The Pova 8 Pro 5G packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging, completing its performance-focused hardware package.

The highlight of the rear panel is the Alive Matrix Display, which uses 177 mini LEDs to create a “Breathing Light” effect across more than 49 scenarios. It can display notifications, battery status, timers and other information.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and is promised two major OS upgrades along with three years of security updates.
