Realme’s next premium mid-range phone might be getting closer to launch. A new report has surfaced with detailed specifications for the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G, suggesting that the company is lining up some noticeable upgrades this year.
The information comes from a report by 91Mobiles Hindi, which cites industry sources familiar with the device.
Four Memory Variants And Three Colours
According to the leak, the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G could launch in India with four RAM and storage combinations. The base model may offer 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, followed by 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and a top-end 12GB + 512GB variant.
The phone is also expected to come in three colours: Camellia Pink, Master Gold and Master Grey. These appear to be fresh colourways, different from the shades offered on the 14 Pro+ 5G earlier this year. The device is said to carry the model number RMX5131 and should be available both online and offline.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav had previously shared similar memory and colour details, adding more weight to the latest leak.
Camera And Display Expectations
One of the biggest highlights is the camera. The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is rumoured to feature a 200MP main rear camera, which would be a major jump from the previous generation. A 50MP front camera is also mentioned in the report.
On the front, the phone may use a 6.78 inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. If accurate, it would offer a slightly sharper and smoother panel compared to other phones in this segment.
A Larger Battery This Time
Another surprising detail is the battery. The leak claims the phone could ship with a 7,000mAh unit. That’s significantly larger than the 6,000mAh battery inside the Realme 14 Pro+ 5G and would likely extend usage time by a good margin.
There’s no word yet on charging speed, but Realme typically brings fast charging to its Pro+ models, so an upgrade here wouldn’t be unexpected.
How It Stacks Against The Realme 14 Pro+ 5G
Realme launched the 14 Pro+ 5G earlier this year with a 6.83 inch 1.5K AMOLED display, a triple rear camera setup and a 32MP selfie camera. It runs on the Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 and includes a 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging.
The leaked specs for the 16 Pro+ 5G point toward a bigger battery, a higher refresh rate, and a major jump in camera resolution. Realme seems to be aiming for a more feature-heavy successor rather than a minor refresh.
Waiting For An Official Announcement
Realme hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but the consistency of recent leaks suggests the launch might not be too far away. With the brand already teasing new Narzo devices for India, the 16 series could be next in line.
