Realme 16 Pro Series, Realme 16 5G, Realme 16T Get Major Price Hikes in India: Here’s How Much They Cost Now

Realme has once again increased the prices of several smartphones in its Realme 16 series in India. The latest price revision affects the Realme 16 Pro series, Realme 16 5G and Realme 16T, with prices increasing by up to Rs. 4,000.

The latest hike comes amid rising memory component costs, which have impacted smartphone prices across the industry. This is also not the first price increase for these Realme smartphones, making some of the models considerably more expensive than their original launch prices.

Realme 16 Pro+ Price Hiked by Up to Rs. 4,000

The Realme 16 Pro+ has received the biggest price increase in the lineup. The 8GB + 128GB variant now costs Rs. 53,999, up from Rs. 49,999, representing a Rs. 4,000 hike. It was originally launched at Rs. 39,999.

The other variants have received a Rs. 3,000 increase:

8GB + 256GB: Rs. 55,999, up from Rs. 52,999
12GB + 256GB: Rs. 58,999, up from Rs. 55,999

This means the entry-level Realme 16 Pro+ is now Rs. 14,000 more expensive than its launch price.

The phone features a 144Hz display, a 7,000mAh battery and a versatile camera setup with a 3.5x telephoto lens.

Realme 16 Pro Gets Rs. 4,000 Price Increase

The Realme 16 Pro has also become significantly more expensive. Its 8GB + 128GB variant now costs Rs. 44,999, compared with Rs. 40,999 previously.

The remaining variants have received a Rs. 3,000 hike:

8GB + 256GB: Rs. 46,999, up from Rs. 43,999
12GB + 256GB: Rs. 49,999, up from Rs. 46,999

The Realme 16 Pro originally launched at Rs. 31,999, meaning its starting price has now increased by Rs. 13,000.

The smartphone offers a vibrant display, strong battery life, loud speakers and robust durability, although its chipset may not be the best choice for users seeking maximum performance.

Realme 16 5G Price Increased by Rs. 1,000

The Realme 16 5G has received a smaller Rs. 1,000 price increase across all configurations.

8GB + 128GB: Rs. 36,999, up from Rs. 35,999
8GB + 256GB: Rs. 39,999, up from Rs. 38,999
12GB + 256GB: Rs. 42,999, up from Rs. 41,999

The Realme 16 5G stands out with its relatively compact 6.57-inch display, selfie mirror design and 7,000mAh battery, making it a balanced option in the mid-range segment.

Realme 16T Gets Rs. 1,000 Price Hike

The Realme 16T has also received a Rs. 1,000 increase across its lineup.

6GB + 128GB: Rs. 32,999, up from Rs. 31,999
8GB + 128GB: Rs. 35,999, up from Rs. 34,999
8GB + 256GB: Rs. 36,999, up from Rs. 35,999

The Realme 16T’s biggest highlight is its massive 8,000mAh battery, making it particularly appealing to buyers who prioritise battery endurance.

Should You Buy the Realme 16 Series After the Price Hike?

The latest price increases make the Realme 16 series less competitive, particularly the Realme 16 Pro+ and Realme 16 Pro. At their revised prices, buyers should compare these phones with older alternatives before making a purchase.

With prices now significantly higher than their launch levels, checking competing smartphones at similar prices is advisable before choosing a Realme 16 series device.
