Realme is gearing up to expand its Realme 16 lineup in India with the launch of the Realme 16x 5G. The upcoming smartphone will join the recently announced Realme 16 series and succeed last year’s Realme 15x 5G. Positioned in the budget-to-mid-range segment, the device is expected to focus on battery life, durability, and everyday performance.
Realme 16x 5G India Launch, Availability, Expected Price
Realme has confirmed that the Realme 16x 5G will launch in India on August 12 at 12 pm (IST). Following the announcement, the smartphone will be available for purchase via Flipkart and the official Realme India online store.
While the company has not revealed the official price, the Realme 16x 5G is expected to be positioned in the sub-₹25,000 segment, making it a strong contender in India’s affordable 5G smartphone market.
Realme 16x 5G Specifications and Features
One of the biggest highlights of the Realme 16x 5G is its 7,000mAh battery, which the company claims is designed to retain its health for up to six years. The large battery is aimed at users who need extended usage without frequent charging.
Realme is also emphasizing durability. The smartphone has received MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance certification, while its IP65 rating offers protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water splashes. These features should make the phone more resilient to everyday wear and accidental drops.
Powering the device is expected to be the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. The phone is also tipped to feature a 144Hz refresh rate display, promising smoother scrolling, gaming, and animations.
On the software side, Realme says the device will offer a 60-month fluency guarantee, indicating long-term software optimization designed to deliver a smooth user experience for up to five years.
Realme 16x 5G Design and Other Details
The Realme 16x 5G features a flat-frame design with a vertically aligned dual-camera setup on the rear, accompanied by a circular ring flash. The smartphone will be available in Endurance Brown and Glory White colour options.
Leaks suggest the handset could be offered in multiple storage variants, with configurations starting at 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
With its large battery, rugged build, and high-refresh-rate display, the Realme 16x 5G is shaping up to be another strong option in the competitive budget 5G smartphone segment.
