Realme P5 Series Launching in India Soon: 50MP Main Camera, 10,000mAh Battery Tipped

If the reports are accurate, then the Realme P5 5G will feature the largest battery on a mainstream smartphone. The leak does reveal the back panel and camera island of the Realme P5 5G, although it is unclear whether you can trust its authenticity.

The Realme P5 series will go on sale in India through Flipkart, following its launch in the country. Moreover, an official looking poster for the upcoming P5 series was also leaked on X. We expect, the Realme P5 5G price in India to start from under Rs 25,000, anticipating a price hike over its predecessor.

Realme P5 Series BIS Certification

Tipster Yogesh Brar spotted, via Beebom, a new Realme handset on the Bureau of Indian Standards website, under model number RMX5017. The listing appeared on 22 December 2025. Brar claims the device will launch locally using the “Realme P” branding, which suggests that Realme is likely preparing the Realme P5 series for the Indian market.

BIS, or the Bureau of Indian Standards, is India’s statutory body for product certification. The Government of India created BIS to standardize, assess and certify goods and services before official sale. A BIS appearance therefore signals that Realme is moving closer to launch, although specifications and pricing details remain unconfirmed for now.

It remains to be seen whether Realme can repeat the 8.5mm thickness and 210-gram weight in the Realme P5 series, or if larger dimensions are needed for regular retail hardware. Realme has not officially confirmed battery size, design or full specifications, so these details should be treated as early claims rather than final information.
