Google is getting closer to the stable release of Android 17, and smartphone brands are already preparing their next wave of software updates. For Realme users, that means Realme UI 8.0, the company’s upcoming custom skin based on Android 17.
Realme hasn’t officially shared its Android 17 roadmap yet. However, Gizmochina recently took a close look at the software update commitments across Realme’s smartphone and tablet lineup to figure out which devices are most likely to receive the Android 17-based Realme UI 8.0 update.
While the final list could change once Realme makes an official announcement, the report gives us a fairly good idea of what to expect.
Realme GT Series Likely to Lead the Rollout
As expected, Realme’s flagship GT lineup is likely to be among the first to receive the update.
According to the report, the following devices are expected to be eligible:
- Realme GT 8 Pro
- Realme GT 7
- Realme GT 7 Pro
- Realme GT 7 Pro Racing
- Realme GT 7T
- Realme GT 6
- Realme GT 6T
- Realme GT 5 Pro
If Realme follows its usual update pattern, newer GT models will likely get the update before mid-range and budget devices.
Number Series Phones Also Make the List
Several devices from Realme’s Number series are also expected to receive Android 17.
The list includes:
- Realme 16
- Realme 16 Pro
- Realme 16 Pro+
- Realme 16T
- Realme 15
- Realme 15 Pro
- Realme 15 Lite
- Realme 15T
- Realme 15x
- Realme 14
- Realme 14 Pro
- Realme 14 Pro+
- Realme 14T
These models represent some of Realme’s most popular offerings in the mainstream segment, making them strong candidates for the next major software upgrade.
P Series, Narzo Series, and C Series Expected to Join In
Realme’s relatively new P series also appears to be in line for the update.
Expected devices include:

- Realme P4 Pro
- Realme P4 Lite
- Realme P4 Lite 4G
- Realme P4 Power 5G
- Realme P4R
- Realme P4x
- Realme P3
- Realme P3 Pro
- Realme P3 Ultra

The Narzo lineup is expected to be represented by:

A Few Tablets and Note Series Devices Could Also Be Updated
The report also points to a handful of tablets and Note-series smartphones as likely candidates.
These include:
- Realme Note 80

- Realme Note 70T
- Realme Pad 3
While Realme’s tablet update policies aren’t always as extensive as its smartphone lineup, the Pad 3 appears well-positioned for Android 17 support.
When Could Realme UI 8.0 Arrive?
Realme hasn’t confirmed a rollout schedule yet, but the timing may not be too far away.
Since Google’s Android 17 release cycle is expected to follow a similar timeline to previous years, Realme UI 8.0 could begin rolling out sometime around November. As always, flagship devices are likely to receive the update first, followed by mid-range and entry-level models over the following months.
For users who want early access, Android 17 beta testing is currently limited to the Realme GT 8 Pro. There’s no official word yet on when the beta program will expand to other devices.
