The Redmi Note 17 5G is set to make its debut in India later today. To recall, the Redmi Note 17 5G was unveiled in China last month alongside the Note 17 Pro 5G, although only the former is arriving in India today.

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 5G will feature a massive silicon carbon battery, fast charging support, smooth AMOLED display, Snapdragon chip, and dual-camera setup.

The Redmi Note 17 5G is launching in India at 12 pm (IST) today. Following its launch, the Note 17 5G will be available for purchase in India through Amazon. We expect the Redmi Note 17 5G price in India to start from under Rs. 30,000.

The Redmi Note 17 5G will be offered in three colours: Black, Light Green, and Purple. According to previous reports, the Redmi Note 17 5G will go on sale in India starting August 11.

The Redmi Note 17 5G is equipped with a massive 8,000mAh battery, making battery life one of its biggest highlights. The company claims the handset can deliver more than three days of usage on a single charge under internal testing conditions. It also supports 45W fast charging and reverse wired charging, allowing users to power compatible accessories directly from the smartphone.

On the front, the Redmi Note 17 5G features a 7-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a large and smooth viewing experience. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while an in-display fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication. Additional features include NFC support and a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage in the base variant. Xiaomi will also offer an 8GB RAM configuration for users seeking additional multitasking performance.

The Redmi Note 17 5G ships with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Xiaomi has also confirmed four years of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates, ensuring long-term software support. For photography, the smartphone is equipped with a 50MP primary rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
