Xiaomi has officially announced the launch date of the Redmi Turbo 5 in India. The launch will mark the debut of Redmi’s performance-focused Turbo series in the country. To recall, the Redmi Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max were unveiled in China earlier this year, although only the vanilla model is coming to India.
Redmi Turbo 5 Launch Date in India
The Redmi Turbo 5 launch date in India is set for June 16. Reports also suggest that the Redmi 17 could be unveiled alongside the Turbo 5. Moreover, the Xiaomi 17T is launching in India tomorrow, June 4, marking the return of Xiaomi’s flagship ‘T’ series smartphones in India.

We expect the Redmi Turbo 5 price in India could start from under Rs 40,000. The Redmi Turbo 5 price in China starts from 1,999 yuan (around ₹26,400). Following the launch, the Redmi Turbo 5 will go on sale in India through Amazon.
Redmi Turbo 5 Specifications
The Redmi Turbo 5 features a flat 6.59-inch TCL M10 OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display claims up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, supports 3840Hz PWM dimming, and offers a 2560Hz touch sampling rate for smoother interaction during gaming and fast scrolling.
Power comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi adds a 5,300 mm² vapour chamber cooling system to help keep temperatures in check during demanding games. The phone also includes an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4 support.

For imaging, the Redmi Turbo 5 carries a 50MP LYT-600 IMX882 primary camera with optical image stabilisation, joined by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, a 20MP selfie camera handles video calls and portraits. The device runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 and comes with IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The Redmi Turbo 5 has a 7,560mAh battery that supports 100W fast wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging for topping up other devices. The handset weighs 204 grams and measures 8.18mm in thickness, balancing a large battery with a relatively slim profile for daily use.
