Samsung has confirmed that the Samsung Exynos 2600 chip is nearing launch, hinting at a major role in the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. A new teaser video describes the processor as “refined at the core” and “optimised at every level”, pointing to deep system upgrades over current Exynos hardware.

The Samsung Exynos 2600 will succeed the Exynos 2500 and is expected to power the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra models that are scheduled for early next year. The chip is produced by Samsung Foundry and is aimed at boosting performance while also helping manage production costs more tightly.

Samsung Exynos 2600 features and performance expectations

Leaked information suggests the Samsung Exynos 2600 uses Samsung Foundry’s 2nm process, a smaller node than earlier Exynos chips. This design is expected to deliver better efficiency and higher speeds. The processor is also said to include upgraded AI features, designed to compete more directly with current offerings from Qualcomm and Apple.

The Samsung Exynos 2600 reportedly carries the model number S5E9965 and has already appeared on the Geekbench database. The listing shows a 3,047 score for single-core tests and a 10,025 score for multi-core performance, indicating a sizeable jump over many existing Exynos platforms in both everyday and heavy workloads.

Samsung Exynos 2600 architecture and clock speeds

Inside, the Samsung Exynos 2600 is tipped to feature a 6+3+1 CPU layout. Six efficiency cores are said to run at 2.46GHz, while three performance cores may operate at 2.96GHz. A single prime core is expected to reach a peak clock speed of 3.55GHz for demanding tasks like high-end gaming.

    Samsung Exynos 2600 Specifications
    Manufacturing process 2nm Samsung Foundry
    Geekbench single-core score 3,047
    Geekbench multi-core score 10,025
    CPU architecture 6+3+1 cores
    Efficiency core clock 2.46GHz
    Performance core clock 2.96GHz
    Prime core peak clock 3.55GHz

Samsung Exynos 2600 in Galaxy S26 markets

The Samsung Exynos 2600 is not expected in every Galaxy S26 market. If Samsung repeats its previous strategy, regions like the US, Japan and China will probably receive the Galaxy S26 series with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipsets, rather than the new in-house Exynos silicon.

Other regions, including South Korea and several European markets, are likely to receive Samsung Galaxy S26 models powered by the Samsung Exynos 2600. This split approach mirrors earlier Samsung launches, where Exynos and Snapdragon versions of the same flagship phones appeared in different countries, depending on local plans and partnerships.

The Samsung Exynos 2600 also reflects a wider shift in Samsung’s chipset strategy. The Galaxy S25 range is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy platform worldwide, while the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ already used Exynos 2400 in selected markets. Bringing Exynos back into the Galaxy S26 range may reduce dependence on Qualcomm and support Samsung’s foundry and System LSI operations.

With the Samsung Exynos 2600 promoted as “refined at the core” and “optimised at every level”, the company signals a renewed push for its own processors in top-end phones. Final details on graphics, connectivity and AI features are still awaited, but current information suggests a central role for this chip in Samsung’s next flagship cycle.
