Samsung has expanded its One UI 9 beta programme to more Galaxy smartphones, with the Galaxy A57 5G reportedly becoming the first mid-range A-series device to receive the Android 17-based software in India. The beta rollout also extends to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in South Korea.
Samsung had initially announced the One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S26 series before expanding it to selected Galaxy S25 models and foldables. The company’s official September expansion included the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, S25 series and S25 FE in markets including India.
Galaxy A57 5G Gets One UI 9 Beta in India
According to reports, the Galaxy A57 5G One UI 9 beta carries firmware version A576BXXU5ZZHJ, along with related regional build numbers. The download package is approximately 2.3GB and includes the August 2026 security patch.
The update is based on Android 17 and introduces new interface changes, personalisation improvements and security enhancements. Samsung has been testing One UI 9 on the Galaxy A57 since earlier this year, with beta firmware spotted on its servers before the public programme opened.
The beta is currently available to eligible users who have enrolled through the Samsung Members app. Users can then head to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for the update. Samsung recommends backing up important data before installing beta software.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 Join Beta Testing
Samsung has also reportedly extended One UI 9 beta testing to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in South Korea. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is receiving firmware version F741NKSU4ZZHP.
The expansion indicates that Samsung is testing Android 17-based One UI 9 across different Galaxy device categories rather than limiting the programme to its latest flagships.
One UI 9 Stable Update Expected Later This Year
One UI 9 is built on Android 17, and Samsung’s official beta programme highlights improvements across personalisation, creativity, accessibility and security.
The company has not yet provided a complete stable rollout schedule for every Galaxy smartphone. Beta availability can also vary depending on the model and market.
