Samsung Galaxy S26 Series: What to Expect
Recent leaks suggest that Samsung is sticking to a familiar hardware strategy for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, with incremental refinements rather than major redesigns. Display sizes and resolutions reportedly remain unchanged across the lineup. The Galaxy S26 is said to feature a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display at 2340 × 1080 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Galaxy S26+ may retain a 6.7-inch QHD+ panel.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to grow slightly to a 6.9-inch display, maintaining the same high resolution. All three models are reportedly protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2, with refined dimensions and lighter builds, particularly for the standard and Plus variants.
Samsung is expected to continue its region-based chipset strategy. In Europe, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are said to run on the Exynos 2600, featuring a deca-core CPU with a high-frequency prime core. The Galaxy S26 Ultra, however, is tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, pairing higher clock speeds with Qualcomm’s latest Oryon CPU architecture. All models are expected to ship with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16.

Camera hardware appears largely shared between the Galaxy S26 and S26+. Both are rumored to use a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom. The Galaxy S26 Ultra stands apart with a more advanced setup, headlined by a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and an additional 10MP telephoto lens. A shared 12MP front camera across the series is said to be supported by AI-driven portrait and video enhancements, alongside advanced video recording options including 8K.
On the battery front, only the Galaxy S26 is expected to see a capacity increase, reportedly moving to 4,300mAh. The Galaxy S26+ may retain a 4,900mAh battery, while the Ultra is tipped to stick with a 5,000mAh cell but gain faster 60W wired charging. Connectivity features across the lineup are expected to include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C, and stereo speakers, though Qi2 magnetic support is notably absent.
Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Series: What to Expect
Audio hardware should also appear on the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 stage, with the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro widely expected. Samsung redesigned the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro in 2024, giving them stems and a profile similar to Apple’s AirPods. Leaked images from the Samsung Tips app indicate the Buds 4 line will refine rather than replace that direction.
The Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro cases are said to be more compact, while stems look less angular. A key rumoured feature is head gesture control for answering or rejecting calls, matching options already present on AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods 4. SamMobile reports both versions may also include an Ultra Wideband chip for more precise location tracking through Google’s Find Hub network.
AI also looks set to dominate the software story at Galaxy Unpacked 2026. Samsung has long been an early launch partner for Google’s Android AI features, and that relationship continues. At the same time, Samsung is exploring other AI alliances that could broaden options on Galaxy devices.
