What You Are Actually Buying
The Galaxy Z Fold8 weighs 201g, which makes it the lightest Fold Samsung has built, and it manages that while carrying a 4,800mAh battery. It measures 4.5mm open and 9.7mm folded, pairing a 5.5-inch AMOLED cover screen with a 7.6-inch main display, both running variable refresh rates up to 120Hz. The camera setup is a 50MP wide and 50MP ultra-wide, backed by a 10MP cover-screen selfie camera and a 10MP shooter on the inner display. It runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy with 45W wired and 20W wireless charging.

The Fold8 Ultra is the one for people who want everything. It opens out to 4.1mm and folds down to 8.9mm, weighs 215g, and puts an 8-inch main display next to a 6.5-inch cover screen. The camera system is led by a 200MP wide sensor with a 50MP ultra-wide and a 10MP telephoto, and it shoots 8K video at 30fps using the new APV codec. Power comes from the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, with a 5,000mAh battery and 45W charging.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 is the slimmest and lightest Flip yet at 6.1mm open and 180g, with a 4.1-inch FlexWindow that has been reworked to let you run apps, check Now Brief, and summon Gemini without opening the phone. Inside is a 6.9-inch AMOLED, and the cameras are a 50MP wide and 12MP ultra-wide with a 4,300mAh battery behind them. Charging is slower here at 25W wired and 15W wireless.

All three phones ship with Android 17 and One UI 9, carry an IP48 rating, and use Samsung’s new Flex Titanium display structure, which is meant to cut down crease visibility and survive years of folding.
