Samsung’s Tri-Fold is currently one of the anticipated models from the South Korean tech giant. The company showcased it for the first time at the Samsung Electronics booth during the ‘K-Tech Showcase’.
Moreover, a recent video offered a clearer look at what to expect. However, the latest reports suggest that Samsung’s Tri-Fold smartphone will be produced in only limited quantities. Here’s what the new report suggests:

Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold Tipped for Limited Production
According to a report by The Elec, Samsung has produced between 20,000 and 30,000 components for its upcoming Tri-Fold smartphone. The number of parts made so far suggests that the initial shipment volume will be quite limited, the report noted.
A supplier source told The Elec they were uncertain whether Samsung would place additional orders for more components. Another supplier mentioned that Samsung plans to launch a small number of units initially and will decide on mass production after evaluating market response.
Back in July, Samsung reportedly informed its suppliers that it aimed to produce around 10,000 units of the Tri-Fold device by September. As of November, this plan has not progressed, and the company has yet to provide further updates to its partners.
Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold: What We Know So Far
The Galaxy Tri-Fold phone will have a dual-hinge design, allowing it to fold in two places. Its screen ratio is notably taller than it is wide, giving it the look and feel of a compact tablet PC.
The device will feature three external screens arranged side by side. The outer display measures around 6.5 inches, similar to the Galaxy Fold series, but when fully unfolded, it expands into a large 10-inch display – offering a tablet-like viewing experience.
Samsung’s Tri-Fold is tipped to be marketed as the Galaxy Z TriFold, as suggested by Max Jambor. As far as the launch is concerned, it could see light by the end of this year. However, there is no official word regarding the same. So, stay tuned for official announcement.
