Nintendo has released a video highlighting Switch 2 third-party games coming in 2026, headlined by Hidetaka Miyazaki-directed FromSoftware exclusive The Duskbloods. The Wii and Wii U struggled when it came to proper third-party support, but that changed big time with the Nintendo Switch. The Switch 2‘s third-party support has been strong out of the gate as well, with Nintendo’s latest home console/handheld hybrid launching with games like Cyberpunk 2077, Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, and more.

The Switch 2’s third-party support has continued going strong, and while there are certainly games that skip it in favor of releasing only for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, there are also many games that release day-and-date with Nintendo’s console as well. The Switch 2 third-party lineup will likely take a hit whenever the PlayStation 6 and next Xbox hit store shelves, but for at least the next few years, owners of Nintendo’s new console can expect to see a lot of third-party games.

In fact, three huge third-party games are on deck for 2026. Nintendo recently released a hype video for third-party games coming to the Switch 2 in 2026, shining the spotlight on The Duskbloods, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, and Resident Evil Requiem. Resident Evil Requiem will be releasing for Switch 2 on the same day it’s releasing for every other platform, while The Duskbloods is completely exclusive to the console.

Out of the three third-party Switch 2 games coming in 2026 that Nintendo decided to highlight, The Duskbloods is arguably the headliner. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the legendary developer that directed Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring, The Duskbloods is an 8-player action-RPG with PvP and PvE elements with gameplay and an aesthetic that doesn’t look too far off from Miyazaki’s biggest hits. There are some FromSoftware fans nervous about The Duskbloods‘ multiplayer focus, but Miyazaki’s track record speaks for itself.

Switch 2 is Getting FF7 Remake and Resident Evil Requiem Back-to-Back

We don’t know exactly when The Duskbloods release date will be, but we do know when Switch 2 owners get to play Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade and Resident Evil Requiem. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is coming to the Switch 2 on January 22, while Resident Evil Requiem will launch on February 27 alongside its PC, PS5, and Xbox counterparts.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is a fully-featured version of FF7 Remake, complete with the Yuffie DLC that helps bridge the gap between FF7 Remake and Rebirth. Resident Evil Requiem, meanwhile, is the next main series installment in Capcom’s long-running Resident Evil franchise. It features Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft as its two playable characters, and will offer a blend of classic survival-horror scares and the exciting action associated with games like Resident Evil 4.

It should be noted that Resident Evil Requiem isn’t coming to the Switch 2 alone. That same day, Switch 2 ports of Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village will also be released. Plus, summer 2026 will see the release of the first-ever Resident Evil amiibo, with Grace Ashcroft getting her own figure.

The Switch 2 has been on fire since launch, and it looks like Nintendo and its third-party partners will ensure that momentum keeps going strong in 2026. As far as first-party Nintendo games go, we know of titles like Mario Tennis Fever and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book aiming for release in the first half of the year, but what Nintendo has planned for the rest of 2026 still remains a mystery at the time of this writing.
