Mumbai, May 15, 2025: The leasing process for electric vehicles (EVs) intended for commercial fleets has been significantly simplified following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Tata Motors and Vertelo, an EV financing and leasing firm.
Vertelo, which provides flexible leasing and financing options to help reduce EV upfront costs, will provide tailored leasing solutions for Tata Motors’ entire range of electric commercial vehicles, assisting fleet owners in their transition to sustainable mobility, informed Rajesh Kaul, Vice President and Business Head – Trucks at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles.
The company also provides charging and fleet management services, which include charging infrastructure and energy supply, EV technology performance, and fleet digitisation.
In response to the announcement, Kaul of Tata Motors said the company is committed to making electric mobility accessible to all customers, ensuring that sustainable transportation solutions are within reach.
“This collaboration with Vertelo is a critical step towards increasing access to our innovative electric commercial vehicles,” he said.

For last-mile mobility, Tata Motors offers the Tata Ace EV, while the Tata Ultra and Tata Starbus lines provide mass mobility solutions.
The company has also introduced models such as the Tata Prima E.55S, Tata Ultra E.12, Tata Magna EV bus, Tata Ultra EV 9 bus, Tata Intercity EV 2.0 bus, Tata Ace Pro EV, and Tata Intra EV to meet a diverse range of applications and customer needs across product lines.
Vertelo CEO Sandeep Gambhir expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, “We are delighted to collaborate with Tata Motors to increase the adoption of electric vehicles across a wide range of electric commercial vehicles, including buses, trucks and mini-trucks.”
