Mumbai, June 23rd, 2025 — With the announcement of the full price range for its eagerly awaited Harrier.ev rear-wheel-drive variants, which range from ₹21.49 lakh to ₹27.49 lakh (ex-showroom), Tata Motors has taken the lead in India’s premium SUV market. The Harrier.ev, which is billed as India’s most potent domestically produced electric SUV, will go on sale on July 2. Prices for its quad-wheel drive versions will be announced on June 27.

    Price Parity With ICE Rivals
The Adventure S 65 costs ₹21.99 lakh, while the base model, Adventure 65, costs ₹21.49 lakh. The larger battery-equipped Fearless+ 75 costs ₹24.99 lakh, while the mid-range Fearless+ 65 costs ₹23.99 lakh. At ₹27.49 lakh, the fully equipped Empowered 75 is the most expensive model in the lineup. Please take note that the charger and installation are not included in these prices; however, an AC fast charger will be offered for a fee.

Tata’s aggressive pricing strategy and the first lifetime battery warranty for private owners—an unprecedented offer in the Indian auto industry—put the Harrier.ev in a position to directly compete with ICE-powered SUVs.

    Performance Meets Pedigree
Tata is betting heavily on the Harrier.ev’s credentials to attract buyers with its efficiency and outstanding performance. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds thanks to its dual-motor setup, which produces 396 PS and 504 Nm of torque. Tata confidently compares these performance numbers to those of sports cars.

    No Compromises on Capability
Tata wants to establish the Harrier.ev as a serious off-road competitor in addition to its speed. In order to increase driver confidence in difficult situations, the next Quad Wheel Drive models will have six terrain modes and a 540-degree surround vision camera.

Indulgent Interiors with Global Tech Firsts
With a 14.53-inch Neo QLED infotainment display—the first of its kind worldwide—as well as a JBL 10-speaker system and Dolby Atmos support for an immersive audio experience, the Harrier.ev’s interior reflects Tata’s goal to enter the premium market.

    Charging Confidence and Longer Range
With an ARAI-certified range of up to 627 kilometres, the SUV is powered by a 75kWh battery pack. However, Tata expects a more practical range of 480 to 505 kilometres, depending on actual driving conditions. A 15-minute fast charge can extend the range to 250 kilometres for longer trips.

    Tata’s EV Ambitions Shift Gear
“This isn’t just another electric SUV—we’re fundamentally challenging what an Indian SUV can be,” stated Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility. “At price parity with traditional SUVs, the Harrier.ev offers superior performance, advanced technology, and the assurance of a lifetime battery warranty.”

With prices that appeal to both early adopters of EVs and premium ICE buyers, Tata Motors is showing that its goals for electric vehicles have changed, not by aiming for lower volumes, but by changing how people in India view electric SUVs.
