Tesla has commenced deliveries of its Model Y in India, marking a major milestone in the company’s journey towards accelerating sustainable mobility in the country. The announcement comes just two months after Tesla’s official launch in India in July 2025.
To enhance customer convenience, all new Model Y owners will receive a complimentary Wall Connector for easy home installation, enabling seamless daily charging.
Tesla’s charging ecosystem combines advanced technology with simplicity — “Plug in, charge and go.” Customers can also access Tesla Charging Stations in Mumbai and Delhi. The Mumbai station at One BKC features four V4 Superchargers (DC) and four Destination Chargers (AC), while the Aerocity, Delhi site offers four V4 Superchargers (DC) and three Destination Chargers (AC), giving users flexible charging options.
Tesla owners can locate and navigate to chargers through their vehicle’s map or the Tesla App. En route, the vehicle automatically pre-conditions the battery for optimal charging efficiency. With peak charging power of up to 250 kW, the Model Y can gain as much as 267 km of range in just 15 minutes. Payments and session management are handled seamlessly through the Tesla App.
Customers across India can order the Model Y on Tesla.com or visit the Tesla Experience Centers in Mumbai and Delhi for a first-hand look. Test drives are available via online booking, allowing customers to experience the Model Y’s performance, technology, and design along a curated route.
The redesigned Model Y — the world’s best-selling electric vehicle in 2023 and 2024 — is available in two variants:
- Rear-Wheel Drive with up to 500 km range (WLTP)
- Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive with up to 622 km range (WLTP)

Tesla vehicles receive continuous Over-the-Air (OTA) updates that enhance performance and add new features. In 2024, more than 250 new features were introduced through OTA updates, with over 70 new features already rolled out in 2025.
Further deliveries for Long Range Model Y customers will commence shortly, reaffirming Tesla’s commitment to providing Indian consumers with cutting-edge electric mobility solutions.
