Electric vehicle lease and finance deals have come a long way. With an influx of affordable models and rising inventories, there are plenty of great options. If you’re in the market for a fully electric model or a plug-in hybrid this winter, chances are you’ll find a deal that fits your taste and budget.
This winter could be the final season of jaw-dropping offers on electric vehicles. President-elect Trump has threatened to repeal the consumer credits that spurred EV adoption in the U.S. That’s why right now is the best time to snatch an existing deal and drive home an EV if you’ve been on the fence.
January 2025 brings many discounts, bonuses, cash-back incentives and conquest deals, where switching from a rival brand can mean even bigger savings. But not every January 2025 EV lease or finance deal is equally appealing. We’ve still included them for comparison anyway, and we’ll update this list monthly. You will find the original source links for each brand at the top of every section.
Note that the deals vary substantially by region. Most prices here use a New York City zip code, so you could find cheaper deals elsewhere. Notable Changes This Month
The Volkswagen ID.4 is back on sale in the U.S. after a stop-sale order was issued to fix defective door handles way back in September. It now might be one of the best EV lease deals out there. You can snag one for as low as $149 per month for 24 months with just $999 due at signing. Volkswagen is also offering 0% APR financing for 72 months.
You can also lease the Volvo EX30 and EX90 now, but they’re pricey. If you’re feeling bold you can also check out the VinFast VF8 and VF9. The VF8 is available to lease for $280 per month with $0 downpayment. The 9 is available for $600 per month, also no downpayment.
Majority of the holidays offers are over. But there are still plenty of great deals to browse through. The best EV lease and finance deals come from Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, Toyota and Nissan. You can lease a Honda Prologue for $209 per month for 24 months with $2,699 due at signing. The Hyundai Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, Kia EV6 and Niro EV have been consistently good lease and financing options for more than a year now. That’s not changed.
The Toyota bZ4x and Nissan Ariya are also still cheap. Automakers are trying to make PHEVs more attractive, too. The Dodge Hornet PHEV is a good example of that, now available to lease for $149 per month for 24 months with $3,539 due at signing.

When you lease a new car, the tax credit goes to the lender and is often applied against the lease to offer the buyer a discount. The tax credit also applies to all EVs regardless of where the car and its battery materials come from if you lease, which isn’t true if you buy. That means leasing can be the smart move on cars like the Ioniq 6, which doesn’t get the credit if you buy it outright because it’s manufactured in South Korea. Just be sure to go over all the details related to the tax credit before signing any paperwork.
Remember that if you choose to lease instead of buy, you won’t have to worry about whether or not your personal tax situation allows you to take advantage of the credit. Also, note that the best deals also typically apply to individuals with excellent credit ratings. Moreover, the best manufacturer-sponsored incentives are often reserved for returning lessees or people who currently drive competitor products.

The honeymoon phase of EV offers may be ending soon. The Trump administration could repeal the $7,500 consumer tax credit that encouraged EV adoption up until now. Even though repealing that isn’t straightforward, as an act of Congress would be required, uncertainty looms over the future of the tax credits that have made the above offers so enticing. That’s why right now might be your best shot at snatching away a great deal on an EV before they potentially vanish with Trump in office, which could make most of the cars listed here more expensive.
That said, there are likely additional incentives out there, specific to certain regions or dealerships (if the brand has dealerships). You just have to do your homework. Also, keep in mind that used EVs are available with reasonable deals as well and that the market is finally seeing a notable drop in prices. There’s even a $4,000 point-of-sale federal incentive that your used EV may qualify for. Income restrictions apply.
