The iPhone 17 Pro Just Got a Second Screen: Thanks to This Smart Case

The Selfix case from Dockcase is aiming to change how people use the iPhone 17 Pro series. It adds a second display on the back of the phone, turning the main 48MP rear cameras into selfie and vlogging tools while also packing several hardware extras.

Designed specifically for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, the Selfix case integrates a round 1.6‑inch AMOLED touchscreen. The rear panel supports a 480 x 480‑pixel resolution and acts as a live preview, so users can properly frame photos and videos before pressing the shutter.

With the extra screen in place, the 48MP rear cameras can double as high‑quality selfie shooters. The setup lets users capture ultrawide group selfies that the standard front camera cannot match. Dockcase says the rear display delivers a zero‑lag experience and works without any separate companion app.

The rear display is not the only addition on the Selfix iPhone 17 Pro case. Dockcase includes a dedicated Power Button that controls the secondary screen, along with a PD 3.0 USB‑C port supporting up to 100W input. There is also a microSD card slot that can handle up to 2TB of storage for extra media.

According to Dockcase, files stored on the microSD card can still appear inside the regular iPhone photo library. Official pricing and sale dates for the Selfix iPhone 17 Pro case have not been shared yet. Dockcase expects to launch the product on Kickstarter, with Blush Pink, Oat White and Midnight Black options planned.
