This Battlefield 6 Assault Class Weapon Combo is Completely OP

Battlefield 6 players may care more about playing the objective and winning games than they do about having the best kill/death ratio among their friends, but that doesn’t mean players don’t care about doing well. After all, to make sure an M-COM blows up or a zone stays captured, gamers need to wipe out all the enemies and keep them from coming back, so a good gun is a must. While Battlefield 6’s M4A1 is proving to be the most popular gun in the game, as it’s extremely versatile and players can shine with it on any class, it doesn’t take full advantage of any role’s unique ability. For that reason, it’s worth considering alternate options, especially for the Assault class.

Not only will Battlefield 6 players who favor the Assault role want to consider using an Assault Rifle, as they can ready and fire ARs after sprinting more quickly than any other class can, but pointing out one go-to weapon isn’t even enough for the role. Alongside the respawn beacon that once belonged to the Recon class, Assaults have access to the powerful Weapon Sling tool. This gadget allows them to equip another Primary weapon in addition to their Secondary pistol, giving them a chance to have a powerful long-range and close-range killing tool. Naturally, the best options to accomplish these tasks are BF6’s go-to Assault Rifle and Shotgun.

Battlefield 6 Assaults Should Primarily Use The B36A4 Assault Rifle

While the B36A4 will take a small amount of time to unlock in Battlefield 6, as it is available at rank 14 as opposed to being accessible from the very start, this will only take 3-4 hours of playtime (shorter if players have some BF6 XP Tokens to burn). A renamed G36, this gun can consistently kill in four shots and is viable at both mid and long range, meaning Assaults will want to have it readied whenever they’re not clearing buildings or getting pushed by enemies.

The following attachments are recommended to get the most out of the B36A4:

• Scope: BF-2M 2.50X (10 points)
• Muzzle: Linear Comp (10 points)
• Barrel: 510MM Fluted (15 Points)
• Underbarrel: Ribbed Vertical (20 Points)
• Ammunition: Polymer Case (10 points)
• Magazine: 30 Rnd (5 points)
• Top Accessory: 120 MW Blue (30 points)

Because the B36A4 is such a quick killer, there’s no need to worry about extending the magazine or boosting headshot damage. Instead, points can be spent on making it fast and accurate, which all of the above attachments contribute to. The expensive laser sight helps players aim significantly faster while moving and makes hipfiring very accurate, while the barrel helps players aim faster and speeds up the bullet velocity. The muzzle is a must for console players, too, as it makes the recoil vertical, which is far easier to control and use effectively. With the boosts to ADS speed, the Ribbed Vertical grip’s one drawback is canceled out, creating an all-around great gun for Battlefield 6‘s many players to use.

Battlefield 6 Assaults Should Pull Out The M87A1 Shotgun in Close-Range Encounters

While the full auto 18.5KS-K may join the Battlefield 6 meta once more players finish the assignment to get it, as it could work better for classes that only have access to one Primary, the M87A1 is ideal for the purpose of a second Assault weapon. This Pump Action shotty outperforms the M1014 in terms of damage and is available right from the start, meaning players can start clearing rooms with it and unlocking attachments for it right away.

The ideal M87A1 attachments are as follows:

• Scope: Iron Sights (5 points)
• Ammunition: Flechette (30 points)
• Magazine: 7 Shell Tube (5 points)
• Barrel: 20” Factory (10 points)
• Left Accessory: Flashlight (10 points)
• Right Accessory: 120 MW Blue (30 points)

While this setup leaves 10 points to spare, it’s still going to be extremely effective, as it makes the shotgun something that can be pulled out fast for rapid hipfire kills — exactly what Battlefield 6’s Assault players will be looking for. The two accessories are essential since they both improve hipfire accuracy, with the light having an added benefit of blinding enemies. Additionally, the Flechette ammo type is easier to use than Slugs, which are a big gamble. It allows players to penetrate and hurt multiple enemies with one shot and delays health regen, meaning on the off chance someone survives the first blast, they can be chased down and finished off before one of BF6’s support players heals them up.

With the M87A1 and B36A4 both ranking near the top of wzstats.gg (a website that once focused entirely on the battle royale Warzone and the wider Call of Duty series), pairing these two guns together should prove hugely successful. To be clear, it’s still early days for Battlefield 6, and the meta could certainly shift to include seasonal gear and guns unlocked at higher levels once players get proper time with them. Right now, though, Assault players should be working on leveling up these two weapons.
