When things get sketchy in the Alps, mountain rescuers usually call in a helicopter to help recover stranded mountaineers. That’s pretty cool in itself, but what if they had a slick new electric snowmobile-like vehicle in their fleet?
That’s where the Genesis GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle concept comes in. As its name suggests, it’s a one-off, but a pretty nifty one at that. For starters, it has rubber tracks instead of wheels, which–combined with the instant torque of the electric motors–can help tackle deep snow.
Topping off the design is a set of custom–made carbon fiber wheel arch extensions that were designed to minimize damage to the vehicle. I guess running snowmobile tracks can throw all sorts of debris, so some protection is a good idea.
Genesis says the electric concept can “perform reconnaissance and rescue support missions even in rough terrain and in bad weather.” To make that happen, there’s an emergency communication system, medical supplies and other equipment on board. Plus, the GV60’s vehicle-to-load feature can come in handy to rescuers who need to power tools to make their job easier. Vehicle-to-load or V2L means power can be exported from the high-voltage battery through the charge port via an adapter.
The battery-powered rescue rig also has a large roof rack to carry supplies, upgraded seats, metal skid plates at the front and rear, towing hooks and extra lighting. It looks pretty cool and despite it being a concept vehicle, nothing could stop the owner of a standard GV60 from turning their electric crossover into a rescue vehicle. That’s because all the accessories you see in the photo gallery are off-the-shelf products that “were meticulously chosen based on their quality and durability.”

In stock form, the Hyundai Ioniq 5’s more upmarket cousin can be had with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The former has 225 horsepower and an EPA-estimated range of 294 miles, while the latter can deliver up to 429 hp in Performance trim.
The Genesis GV60 MIV was revealed last week at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos, Switzerland. This is Genesis’ third concept vehicle showcased at Davos, following the Genesis X Concept in 2023 and the Genesis X Show Speedium Concept in 2024.
