Bengaluru, June 5, 2025 – TVS Motor Company announced today that the Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Sudarshan Venu as the incoming Chairman of the Company. This decision recognises his exemplary contributions to the company’s sustained growth and strategic development during his tenure as Director.
In a corporate statement, TVS Motors stated that Venu will take over as Chairman and Managing Director on August 25, 2025.
At the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), the current chairman, Sir Ralf Speth, has informed the board of directors that he will not be seeking re-appointment as a director of the company. As a result, he will step down as Chairman following the AGM on August 22, 2025.
TVS ha also said with effect from August 23, 2025, Sir Ralf Speth will be appointed Chief Mentor by the Board for a three-year term to guarantee the Company continues to gain from his vast knowledge and experience.
The Chairman Emeritus of TVS Motor Company, Venu Srinivasan, conveyed his profound appreciation to Ralf for his exceptional chairmanship during the previous three years. According to him, “Ralf’s contributions have been crucial in directing our strategic entry into international markets and encouraging innovation that has greatly improved our position in the industry.” We welcome Sudarshan to his new position and appreciate his ongoing assistance as Chief Mentor. As Managing Director, Sudarshan has shown tremendous growth for the company, and I do not doubt that he will lead it to even greater heights.
