Vivo is expanding its T-series smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo T5. The company has confirmed that the performance-focused smartphone will debut in the country on September 2. The upcoming model will succeed the Vivo T4 and is expected to target buyers looking for strong performance, a premium display and long battery life.

The Vivo T5 is expected to be priced under Rs 40,000 in India, putting it in a competitive segment with several performance-oriented smartphones.

Vivo T5 5G India Launch: What to Expect

One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo T5 is its 7,050mAh battery. Vivo claims that the smartphone is the slimmest device in its segment to feature a battery of this capacity. Despite the large battery, the company is focusing on maintaining a slim and comfortable design.

The smartphone features what Vivo calls a Skyline Design, with curved edges aimed at providing a premium in-hand feel. It will be available in Royal Bronze and Silver Green colour options.

For the display, the Vivo T5 gets a 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The combination should deliver smoother animations and scrolling while also making the device suitable for gaming and multimedia consumption.

MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo Processor

Powering the Vivo T5 is the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. The processor comes with dedicated neural hardware designed to accelerate on-device AI workloads. Vivo is also expected to offer AI-powered features focused on photography, battery management and everyday performance.

The chipset, combined with the high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, positions the Vivo T5 as a performance-focused smartphone in the sub-Rs 40,000 segment.
