Vivo recently confirmed the launch of its second T5 series smartphone in India. The Vivo T5 Lite 5G will debut as the second phone in the line-up in India and follows the launch of the Vivo T5x 5G earlier this year.
The company has now begun teasing the smartphone ahead of its official debut, revealing key battery details and confirming its availability via Flipkart. A dedicated microsite for the handset has also gone live, giving us our first official look at its design and software.
Vivo T5 Lite 5G India Launch Teased
Vivo announced the upcoming launch of the T5 Lite 5G through its official X (formerly Twitter) account. At the same time, the company activated a Flipkart microsite, confirming that the smartphone will be available for purchase through the e-commerce platform after launch.
Vivo is yet to announce the official launch date, although more information will be revealed on July 12. While pricing is yet to be revealed, the T5 Lite 5G could sit just below the Vivo T5x 5G. We expect the Vivo T5 Lite 5G price in India to start from under Rs 20,000.
Vivo T5 Lite 5G Specifications: What to Expect
The teaser reveals that the Vivo T5 Lite 5G will pack a 6,500mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge support, suggesting a focus on long battery life. The promotional video also showcases the handset’s design, featuring a flat rear panel with a dual-camera setup, alongside a side-mounted power button and volume rocker.
The Flipkart listing further confirms that the smartphone will ship with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box. While Vivo has yet to reveal the complete specifications, previous leaks suggest the Vivo T5 Lite 5G could be powered by either the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 or MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset.
The smartphone is also tipped to feature a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits peak brightness in High Brightness Mode (HBM). It could arrive in 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 256GB storage variants.
For photography, the Vivo T5 Lite 5G is expected to offer a 50MP primary rear camera paired with a 5MP front-facing camera. Other rumoured features include an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, along with Twilight Shadow and Wave Blue colour options.
