It’s worth noting that the location of the NPC with whom players make this wager is completely random. Most Assassin’s Creed Shadows players will encounter them somewhere in or around Sakai, although it’s possible to run into them in more remote locations as well.
I am Sucked in from the Bottom and Let Out from the Mouth. What am I?
If players agree to the NPC’s wager, they’ll be faced with the riddle above and given a choice between three possible responses. The correct answer to the “sucked in from the bottom riddle” is “Is it tobacco smoke?”. Choosing either of the other two answers will result in players losing 100 Mon.
You Can Keep the Mon or I want my Mon?
If players choose the correct answer, the NPC will attempt to renege on the wager, arguing that they need the money to pay their debts. If players choose “I want my Mon”, the NPC will begrudgingly hand over 100 Mon. If players choose “You can keep the Mon”, the NPC will offer them a choice between Scout Intel and World Rumor as a means of payment. Given how easy it is to get Mon in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, it’s better to let the NPC keep the money.
If players haven’t used any of their scouts since the last season change, allowing the NPC to keep the money will automatically lead to them getting a World Rumor. Likewise, if players have already discovered every point of interest on the map, they’ll be given Scout Intel by default.
