Sworn has been added to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library earlier today, September 23. This is the 10th title to reach the subscription service in September 2025, as well as the 118th new Xbox Game Pass release since the start of the year.
Sworn is a roguelike action RPG developed by Texas-based studio Windwalk Games and published by Worms maker Team17. It features cel-shaded visuals and chaotic action for between one and four people. Players are cast as adventurers trying to save a dark rendition of Camelot from the reign of a corrupted King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, inspired by the popular legend. Sworn features multiple unlockable characters and wears its Hades inspirations on its sleeve, in addition to boasting over 1,600 “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam. Its cel-shaded visuals with confident bold ink lines are inspired by the works of American artist Michael Mignola, best known as the creator of Hellboy.
Sworn 1.0 Lands on Xbox Game Pass
Sworn originally launched as a Steam Early Access title in February 2025. Seven and a half months later, its 1.0 version reached PC and consoles on September 23. The end of its early access period also marks the roguelike ARPG’s arrival on Xbox Game Pass. Although an Xbox One version of the game doesn’t exist, Microsoft’s subscribers can technically play Sworn on the last-gen console via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
When Will Sworn Reach Xbox Game Pass Standard?
While it’s been available in early access for a while now, Microsoft is still treatingSwornas a day-one release, meaning its Xbox Game Pass version requires an Ultimate-tier membership or PC Game Pass to access. Based on historical precedent, Windwalk’s ARPG may reach the Standard-tier library between March and September 2026. In the meantime, today’s launch adds to the ever-growing roguelike selection that Microsoft’s content catalog has to offer.Swornwill be competing for XGP users’ attention with the very title that heavily inspired it, asHades has just returned to Xbox Game Pass earlier this month, September 19.
Three more titles are set to reach Xbox Game Pass before the end of September 2025. Visions of Mana and Peppa Pig: World Adventures are coming on September 25, followed by Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light five days later. Apart from the arrival of the Tomb Raider spin-off game, September 30 will also mark the removal of three Ninja Gaiden games from Xbox Game Pass.

Microsoft’s track record suggests that the Wave 1 Xbox Game Pass lineup for October 2025 will be announced on October 7. In the meantime, some shadow drops are possible on September 25, when the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Broadcast is taking place. In 2024, Microsoft shadow-dropped four titles on Xbox Game Pass during its TGS livestream.
