Fresh live images surfacing on Weibo offer an early peek at what could be the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, hinting at notable upgrades to its camera architecture. While Xiaomi has yet to officially acknowledge the device, the latest leak is already building excitement around the brand’s next ultra-premium flagship.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra in the images appears to be covered in a protective case, but its redesigned rear camera layout remains visible. Unlike the circular module on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the new setup looks more compact yet densely arranged, featuring three prominent sensors. One of the lenses is tipped to be a periscope telephoto shooter, supported by a flash and several openings that may house auxiliary sensors.

Leaks further suggest the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will sport a triple-camera configuration, led by a 50MP 1-inch primary sensor – likely the OmniVision OV50X – alongside a massive 200MP periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. This marks a shift from the quad-camera arrangement seen on its predecessor. The handset pictured shows a black finish with a metal frame and exposed screw-style cutouts, although the final design may vary.
