Xiaomi has added a new member to its flagship smartphone lineup in India. The Xiaomi 17T, launched on Wednesday, arrives with a familiar formula that many buyers are looking for right now: a large battery, a capable camera setup, and flagship-level hardware without crossing into ultra-premium pricing territory.

Starting at ₹59,999, the phone sits below the Xiaomi 17 Ultra but still brings some of the features that camera enthusiasts may appreciate, including Leica-tuned cameras and a dedicated 5x periscope telephoto lens.

    Leica Cameras Take Center Stage

The camera system is clearly one of the phone’s biggest talking points. Xiaomi has equipped the 17T with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

The telephoto lens offers 5x optical zoom with optical image stabilization, making it useful for everything from portraits to long-distance shots.

Zoom cameras have become increasingly common in flagship smartphones, but they’re still relatively uncommon in devices around this price point. That’s one area where the Xiaomi 17T could attract buyers who prioritize photography.

    Big Battery, Fast Charging

Beyond the cameras, Xiaomi is also leaning heavily on battery life. The phone packs a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is larger than what you’ll find on many flagship devices today.

It supports 67W fast charging and can even charge other devices through its 22.5W reverse charging feature.

For users who spend long days away from a charger, battery capacity could end up being one of the Xiaomi 17T’s biggest selling points.

    Display and Performance

On the front, the Xiaomi 17T features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits.

Powering the phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Xiaomi has also included its 3D IceLoop cooling system to help manage temperatures during gaming and other intensive tasks.

The smartphone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box.

Xiaomi 17T Price in India and Launch Offers

The Xiaomi 17T is available in two storage variants. The 12GB + 256GB model is priced at ₹59,999, while the 12GB + 512GB version costs ₹64,999.

As part of the launch offers, Xiaomi is offering either a ₹5,000 instant discount on select HDFC Bank, SBI Card, ICICI Bank, and American Express cards or a ₹5,000 exchange bonus.

That brings the effective prices down to ₹54,999 and ₹59,999, respectively.

The company is also offering up to 18 months of no-cost EMI, zero down payment options, and an assured buyback program that promises up to 60 percent value retention after one year.

Buyers will also receive complimentary subscriptions to Spotify Premium Standard for four months, YouTube Premium for three months, and Google AI Pro for three months.

    Availability

The Xiaomi 17T will go on sale in India starting June 10 via Amazon, Xiaomi’s official website, and Xiaomi retail stores across the country.
