    Bengaluru, April 19, 2025:

Tata Elxsi, a BSE-listed technology company and Tata Group subsidiary, has signed a €50 million agreement with a major European automotive OEM to establish a global engineering center. This center will concentrate on programs involving software-defined vehicles, electrification, body and chassis development, and cloud-native solutions.

The global engineering center will also help the OEM advance its software platform roadmap and brand-specific software engineering initiatives, acting as a hub for the development of a unified technology stack.

In addition to these capabilities, Tata Elxsi will create a comprehensive proprietary operating system, electronic architecture, and automotive cloud infrastructure. These elements, when combined, will improve advanced in-vehicle functionalities, ensure seamless connectivity, and allow for software upgrades across multiple brands and product lines.

Manoj Raghavan, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Elxsi, commented on the achievement, saying, “As our customer moves closer to their vision of software-defined vehicles, we are delighted to be a long-term strategic partner in bringing that vision to life.”

Other company representatives stated that this partnership exemplifies Tata Elxsi’s overall strategy of leading in the integration of design, digital technology, and engineering for the future of mobility. The company partners with leading global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to provide solutions that include connected platforms, electrified architectures, autonomous capabilities, and sustainable vehicle development.

Tata Elxsi was chosen for its extensive experience in a variety of automotive industries, including electrification, body and chassis, infotainment, and cybersecurity. This knowledge is backed up by extensive experience in automotive software and managing high-performance global delivery centers for leading OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. The company’s ability to align engineering initiatives with its customers’ product and software roadmaps ensures excellence in global delivery, scalability, and successful outcomes across the entire product development lifecycle.

Tata Elxsi recently introduced AVENIR™, a cloud-agnostic SDV development and validation framework. This framework is intended to simplify modular software engineering, improve platform integration, and support cloud-native development and edge deployment.

It is supplemented by a number of solutions, including the AUTONOMAI ADAS suite, the TETHER Connected Vehicle platform, the MOBIUS+ digital product passport, and advanced laboratories and Mobility Innovation Centers focusing on connected, autonomous, software-defined, and Electric domains.

Tata Elxsi has shown its commitment to platform-first engineering by providing customers with the tools and infrastructure required to scale SDV initiatives and maintain software consistency across multiple vehicle platforms.
