Samsung’s next Galaxy A-series phone is no longer much of a mystery. The Galaxy A57 has now appeared on China’s TENAA certification platform, revealing most of its core specifications ahead of an official launch.
This follows an earlier sighting on China’s 3C certification database in November 2025, where charging details first surfaced.
Put together, these regulatory listings offer a fairly complete picture of what Samsung is preparing in the upper mid-range segment.
A Slimmer Design With a Familiar Samsung Look
According to TENAA, the Galaxy A57 measures 161.5 x 76.8 x 6.9mm and weighs 182 grams. That thickness is worth noting, as it places the phone among the slimmer options in its price bracket. Samsung seems to be leaning into a cleaner, flatter design language for its A-series, and the A57 fits right into that approach.
The listing confirms a 6.6-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. TENAA doesn’t specify the panel type, but the mention of 16 million colors strongly suggests an AMOLED screen. There’s also an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Exynos 1680 Likely at the Core
Performance details on TENAA point to an octa-core processor using a tri-cluster CPU setup, with clock speeds reaching up to 2.9GHz, 2.6GHz, and 1.95GHz. While the chipset name isn’t mentioned directly, the same configuration recently appeared on Geekbench.
That benchmark listing hints at Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 1680 chipset powering the Galaxy A57.
Storage Options and Software Direction
The TENAA database suggests that Samsung may offer the Galaxy A57 in at least two configurations: 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, and a higher-end 12GB RAM option with the same storage capacity. There’s no mention of expandable storage, which has been slowly disappearing from this segment.
On the software side, the phone is expected to ship with Android 16 and Samsung’s One UI 8 on top. Given that Samsung recently committed to six major Android updates and six years of security patches for the Galaxy A56, it’s reasonable to expect similar long-term support for the A57 as well.
Battery, Charging, and Camera Setup
TENAA lists the Galaxy A57 with a 4,905mAh rated battery, which typically translates to a marketed capacity of around 5,000mAh. Earlier 3C and TUV certifications have already confirmed support for 45W fast charging, continuing Samsung’s gradual push toward faster charging speeds in the mid-range.
Camera details also appear in the listing. The Galaxy A57 is said to feature a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, the phone is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 5-megapixel macro lens. A recent report has suggested that the main sensor could be Sony’s IMX906, though that hasn’t been officially confirmed.
Galaxy A57 Launch Timeline
Samsung’s next flagship lineup, the Galaxy S26 series, is expected to debut by late February. Based on that timing, the Galaxy A57 is likely to launch in the weeks leading up to the flagship event, potentially alongside the Galaxy A37.
