The Xiaomi 17 series is set to make its debut in India and globally later today. The line-up will include the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, with the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max appearing to be Chinese exclusives. Xiaomi will also unveil the Pad 8 alongside its flagship 17 series.

While the Xiaomi 17 series and Pad 8 will be unveiled globally today, Indian audiences may have to wait a couple of weeks before information about pricing and availability emerges. However, an official microsite for the Xiaomi 17 series is already live on Amazon India.

Xiaomi 17 Series Prices (Expected)

In Europe, the Xiaomi 17 price is expected to start from €999 (roughly Rs 1,06,500). On the other hand, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s price could start from €1,499 (roughly Rs 1,59,850).

According to reports, the Xiaomi 17 price in India could start from under Rs 80,000, while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s price in India will land close to Rs 1,25,000. Additionally, the Xiaomi Pad 8 price in India could start from under Rs. 35,000.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Specifications

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a large 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. With up to 1,060 nits of peak brightness, it should remain readable outdoors. The screen is protected by Dragon Crystal Glass 3 and includes a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

The handset runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and is powered by Qualcomm’s 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with an Adreno 840 GPU. Configurations go up to 16GB LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, making it well suited for heavy multitasking and gaming.

Photography is led by a Leica-tuned triple rear setup: a 50MP 1-inch primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 200MP periscope telephoto offering 3.2x-4.3x optical zoom. It records up to 4K video and uses a 50MP front camera. A 6,800mAh battery supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, while IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings and Wi-Fi 7 round out the package.

Measuring 8.29mm thick and weighing around 224g, the phone sits in familiar territory for camera-centric flagships. It is available in Black, White, Cold Smoky Purple, and Starry Green, while the Leica Edition adds Black and Off-White finishes with distinctive branding.

Xiaomi 17 Specifications

The Xiaomi 17 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, promising fast performance and quick file transfers. It ships with Android 16 and HyperOS 3.0 out of the box.

Photography is handled by a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup, led by a 50MP Light Fusion 950 main sensor, alongside 50MP telephoto and ultrawide cameras. A 50MP front camera handles selfies. Video recording goes up to 8K at 30fps or 4K at 60fps.

The phone features a 6.3-inch OLED display with a 2,656×1,220 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. With a peak brightness of 3,500 nits and support for HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision, it is well suited for media consumption.

A 7,000mAh battery supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device weighs about 191g, measures roughly 8mm thick, and carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Specifications

The Xiaomi Pad 8 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Pad 8 packs a 9,200mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. The Xiaomi Pad 8 comes with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for video calls. Connectivity includes Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and support for 5G networks.

Xiaomi Pad 8 sports a 11.2 inch LCD screen with 3.2K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits brightness. The panels support full DC dimming, HDR10, HDR Vivid and Dolby Vision. Each tablet keeps the same slim 5.75mm thickness, weighs about 485g, and includes quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
