Realme 16 5G Launch Date in India Confirmed: Check Full Specifications and Expected Price Range

Realme has confirmed the launch of a yet another addition to its 16 series in India. To recall, the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ were unveiled in India back in January. Now, the smartphone maker is preparing to unveil the Realme 16 5G in the country. Realme has been teasing details about the upcoming Realme 16 5G through Flipkart, confirming its design, cameras, and battery.

Realme 16 5G Launch Date & Price Range in India

The Realme 16 5G launch date in India will take place on April 2 at 12 pm IST. Following its launch, the handset will go on sale in India through Flipkart, Realme’s e-store, and other mainline retailers.

We expect, the Realme 16 5G price in India to start from under Rs 30,000. The handset will sit just under the Realme 16 Pro, which currently fetches a starting price of Rs 34,999 in India.

Realme 16 5G: What We Know So Far!

Thanks to the Flipkart microsite and Realme landing page, we know the Realme 16 5G will pack a 7,000mAh silicon carbon battery with 60W wired fast charging support. Realme also promises six-year fluency protection for the 7,000mAh battery.

For optics, the Realme 16 5G will feature a 50MP primary Sony sensor with OIS accompanied by an unnamed secondary lens. Moreover, it will also feature a 50MP front camera. The rear camera setup will be incorporated in the ‘industry’s first camera bar with a selfie mirror’.

The Realme 16 5G will sport a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 4200 nits, 2160Hz PWM Dimming, and 3000Hz instantaneous sampling rate. It will also pack stereo speakers with 300% volume boost. While Realme is yet to confirm details about the chipset, the internation version of the phone uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC.

Realme does reveal that the chip will be backed by a 6,050mm2 ‘Airflow’ VC cooling area. The Realme 16 5G will run Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 out of the box, with the promise of three OS updates and four years of security patches.

The Realme 16 5G is showcased in black (Air Black) and a shimmering white shade (Air White). The handset will also feature an IP69 rating for resistance to dust and water. The Realme 16 5G will also measure 8.1mm thick and weigh 183 grams.
