Xiaomi is bringing the Redmi A7 Pro to India on April 13.

From what’s been shared so far, the phone isn’t trying to do anything ambitious. It sticks to a familiar formula for this segment: a large display, a focus on battery life, and hardware that’s meant for basic, everyday usage.

A Big Screen That Stands Out On Paper

One of the first things you notice is the 6.9-inch display. It’s an IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, which isn’t something you usually see on devices in this range.

That said, the experience will still depend on the overall hardware. The phone runs on a Unisoc T7250 chip built on a 12nm process, paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. This setup should be fine for things like scrolling through apps, messaging, and casual multitasking. But if you’re expecting smooth gaming or heavy performance, this isn’t that kind of device.

It runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 on top.

Cameras Keep Things Basic

The camera setup is fairly straightforward. You get a 13-megapixel dual rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. There’s no real push toward camera performance here, and that’s in line with what most phones at this level offer.

It should handle casual photos and video calls, but that’s about it.

Battery Is The Main Talking Point

Where the Redmi A7 Pro tries to make a stronger case is battery life. It comes with a 6000mAh battery, which is clearly aimed at users who just want their phone to last through the day without thinking too much about charging.

Charging speeds are limited to 15W. It’s not fast, but again, this is fairly typical for phones in this price bracket.

Design And Variants

Xiaomi has shown the phone in multiple colors, including Black, Blue, Green, and an Orange variant with a wavy pattern on the back. The Orange version is the one being highlighted in teasers, though it’s still not confirmed if all colors will be available in India.

Expected Price In India

In Italy, the Redmi A7 Pro starts at €129.90 for the base model and goes up to €149.90 for the higher storage variant.

Prices in Europe are usually on the higher side, so the India pricing is likely to be closer to ₹10,000. The final number will be clear once Xiaomi announces it officially on April 13.
