MUMBAI: 5th May 2025: Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s largest conglomerate, has reported delivering nearly 6,300 units of the BE 6 and XEV 9e SUV models in 40 days after receiving 30,000 bookings for these electric vehicles. During the Q4 earnings call, Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director and CEO of the Auto & Farm Sector, stated that the remaining orders would take between 4 and 5 months to process.
He also stated that M&M’s revenue market share in the EV sector is growing, with the company achieving a significantly higher average selling price than its competitors, cementing its position as the revenue market leader.
Since March 20, 2025, the company has delivered nearly 3,000 units of the BE 6 and XEV 9e, which it plans to increase as production capacity improves.
M&M intends to increase the proportion of EVs in its production mix, but it expects to do so gradually. The company has implemented a number of new technologies and features, and it is committed to increasing production while maintaining quality and incorporating customer feedback.

M&M currently has a battery electric vehicle (BEV) capacity of 7,500 units for fiscal year 25 and 5,000 units of monthly operational capacity. The company intends to increase this capacity to 12,000 units at peak, with a minimum operational capacity of 8,000 units, according to its summary report to investors.
Jejurikar also pointed out that the delivery process for EVs is more time-consuming than for internal combustion engine vehicles, requiring a minimum of 2 to 3 hours for customer explanations. Top company officials also told EV Story that 59% of the delivered vehicles were the larger XEV 9e, with the remaining BE 6 range.
