MUMBAI, 10th May 2025: Envision Energy, a renewable energy solutions company, has successfully unveiled India’s first race car (Recover-E) made entirely of e-waste in collaboration with EARTHDAY.ORG, demonstrating a rare convergence of technology, sustainability, and art.
The ‘Recover-E’ car was made from e-waste, including mobile phones, laptops, and tablets, and it demonstrates the critical need to address India’s growing e-waste problem.
RPV Prasad, Managing Director of Envision Energy India, who unveiled the car, stated that the company wants to emphasise the importance of balancing technology and sustainability.

The Recover-E Car is more than a concept; it represents a shift towards environmentally friendly solutions. This initiative is Envision’s bold statement of commitment to a sustainable future. Prasad said, “The Recover-E car represents the growing problem of e-waste and how it can be addressed.”
“It is a reminder that innovation and sustainability can coexist, and that we all play a role in shaping a circular future,” said Envision Racing’s Commercial Director, James Mercer.
Envision Energy claims to provide renewable energy solutions to multinational corporations, governments, and institutions. It covers three major business sectors: smart wind turbines, energy storage, and green hydrogen solutions.
The company is developing comprehensive energy transformation solutions. It also manages the Envision-Hongshan Carbon-Neutral Fund and owns the Envision Racing Formula E team, which won the Formula E Teams’ Championship in 2023.
Envision, through its global network of R&D and engineering centres in China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Denmark, aims to take the lead in global green technology development by becoming carbon neutral across its global operations by 2022 and carbon neutral throughout its value chain by 2028.
