Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design Allegedly Powered by 8-Core Kirin 9010 Chipset With 64-Bit Architecture
Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design was introduced in China on Tuesday, marking it as the world’s first mass-market tri-fold smartphone. While the company disclosed various specifications, such as a sizable 10.2-inch display when fully opened and a triple camera setup on the exterior, it did not mention the processor that would be driving the device. Nevertheless, a recent hands-on video from the official launch event indicates that it could be equipped with a Kirin 9010 chipset, supporting earlier leaks.
Huawei Mate XT Chipset Leak
Details about the processor of the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design were exposed in a video clip that was uploaded on the Chinese social media site Weibo (via Taylor Ogan’s X post). Under the hood, it is said to use the Kirin 9010 chipset. Eight cores total—three mid-cores limited at 2.18GHz, four efficiency cores with a maximum clock speed of 1.55GHz, and one TaiShan performance core clocked at 2.3GHz—are purportedly present in this chip.
The Mate XT Ultimate Design is powered by the Kirin 9010 SoC, which features a 64-bit architecture and is said to include the Maleoon 910 MP4 GPU. This GPU is also rumored to be part of the Kirin 9000W and 9000S chipsets. Reports indicate that the processor is manufactured by Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC), the largest chipset maker in China.
This SoC also powers another Huawei smartphone, the Pure 70 Ultra, which is available only in China
