Fortnite Might Be Bringing Back a Classic Chapter 4 POI, But With a Twist

With the release of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 just days away, the community is convinced that they’ve spotted a reimagining of Mega City, a fan-favorite point of interest from Chapter 4 Season 2, in one of the game’s newest promotional images. The next Fortnite Chapter is set to kick off on December 1, once again overhauling the popular Battle Royale title with a brand-new map, a variety of fresh weapons, and plenty of unique skins for players to get their hands on.

After Fortnite‘s Marvel-themed season came to an end earlier this month, Epic took fans on another nostalgia trip and released Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix, a short four-week season that saw players return to the game’s second Chapter. The ongoing Fortnite Chapter brought back plenty of classic weapons and locations from 2019, but with some twists thrown into the mix. With Chapter 2 Remix coming to an end, Fortnite fans still have the highly-anticipated “Remix: The Finale” event to check out on November 30 before Chapter 6 is released on December 1, which will include a world premiere of a new Juice WRLD song, as well as appearances from Ice Spice, Eminem, and Snoop Dogg.

Fortnite Fans Think Mega City Is Returning in Chapter 6

While the next Fortnite live event is still a few days away, Epic has already begun teasing the game’s next Chapter. Over on Twitter, the studio has published a couple of different promotional images for Chapter 6 Season 1: Hunters and fans believe one of the new pieces of keyart includes a reimagining of Mega City, a popular location that was present in the game’s Chapter 4 Season 2 update. While not everyone is convinced, some users think the POI is now being brought back but this time with accessible interiors, something that was not present when the location was first introduced.

Fans will likely continue to speculate on the location’s return for the next few days, but there are plenty of details surrounding the upcoming content update that have already been confirmed. After months of leaks and rumors, Epic has announced that Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 will include collaborations with Godzilla and Big Hero 6’s Baymax. The latter of which continues Epic Games’ collaboration with Disney, which has so far seen famous characters like The Incredibles, Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil all receive their very own in-game skins for players to purchase.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 will also see the return of the game’s OG game mode from December 6. After becoming a smash hit back in 2023, bringing in over 44.7 million players with 102 million hours played in just a single day, Epic is bringing the mode back permanently. The mode will begin from Chapter 1 Season 1, with the original map and weapons all available, and is speculated to rotate between Chapter 1’s seasons each month.
