As players make their way through Star Wars Outlaws, they will discover that each quest can vary greatly depending on their reputation levels. In “The Safecracker,” Kay must sneak into a Crimson Dawn location known as the Wellspring. Regardless of Kay’s reputation with the syndicate, this location is a Restricted Area, so Kay will not be given access. This guide will help players find a way into the Wellspring in Star Wars Outlaws, and steal the Ashiga relic.
How to Find A Way into the Wellspring in Star Wars Outlaws
During ‘The Safecracker,’ Kay Vess makes a deal with Queen Ashiga to steal an important relic from the Crimson Dawn members, who have it under lock and key. At this point in the game, players may have increased their reputation with Crimson Dawn enough to walk up to the front door. However, the Wellspring is off limits to even those with an Excellent rep, so Kay will have to find another way to get into the building and steal the relic.
Metal Gear Star Wars:
The only choice Kay has is to go full stealth, and find the best location to sneak inside. Luckily, the access point is in a non-affiliated area, so Kay will not have to worry about being spotted until she is inside. To enter the Wellspring, follow these steps:
- Start from the front entrance to the Wellspring. Kay will be told the building is a restricted area by the guards.
- Turn around and look east, you’ll see a small stone path that leads across a small pond. Follow it around the building.
- At the end of the path, you’ll encounter a broken wall. Kay can just fit through the opening, which leads to a secret area in the back of the Wellspring.
- As you emerge from the broken wall, you’ll see a small pit in the ground, head towards it and look at the bottom. You’ll see an open vent. Enter the vent, and follow it until you reach the ladder.
- Climb the ladder and enter the next vent, then follow the corridor until you reach the opening above the kitchen. Drop into the kitchen and you’ll now be inside the Wellspring.
How to Steal the Ashiga Relic
Once Kay is inside the Wellspring, her main task will be to steal the Ashiga relic from the main hall. The building is crawling with Crimson Dawn guards, and they’ll be hostile to Kay as soon as they see her. While the quickest path to success will be to go in guns blazing, it is possible to make it through the area without raising the alarm.
Disable the Energy Barrier:
The first step to stealing the relic is using a terminal to disable the energy barrier. When you exit the kitchen, you’ll encounter your first enemy. Consider using Stun mode here, as it is silent. Use the Data Spike to exit the first chamber, and enter the main hall. Once inside, you’ll see the relic in its security container, protected by an energy barrier.
Make your way slowly around the outside edge of the second floor. You’ll encounter multiple enemies, often at once. If you desire to remain in stealth, use a combination of the Stun shot, Nix attack, and takedowns. If you have two enemies in front of you, use the stun on one, then quickly use takedown on the other. If an enemy is not close, use Nix to attack them, then close the distance and use a takedown.
Consider using a belt that has the ”
Increases Stun Shot recharge speed”
perk. This will recharge the stun shot every time you perform a takedown. The
Scoundrel Belt
and
Molder Thief Belt
are great choices.
At the far end of the second floor, just before you reach the stairs, you’ll find a locked room. Use the Data Spike to enter, then you’ll need to use SWO‘s Slicing mechanic to hack the terminal. This will allow Kay to disable the energy barrier.
Steal the Relic:
With the barrier down, Kay can now steal the relic from its case downstairs. Make your way from the control room to the stairs. There will be droids on the bottom floor that are not affected by Stun. If you have Star Wars Outlaws Electro-Shock Prod, you can use stealth takedowns. Otherwise, try to stay out of their way. Once Kay has the relic, follow the quest marker to a new exit upstairs. Return the relic to Queen Ashiga, and that will conclude ‘The Safecracker.’
